Terms and conditions for online reservations at the ATKV resorts
1. The reservation request is only an application for accommodation. It does not represent an official reservation and will be confirmed only once the resort sent the confirmation of reservation request document through. 2. Fifty percent of the total accommodation bill (including VAT) is required as deposit and should be paid on or before the deadline date to confirm the reservation. 3. Deposits already paid will not be refunded upon cancellation of the reservation and neither will any monies be refunded when guests leave the resort sooner than reserved (see cancellations policy). 4. Payment of deposits should occur on or before the deadline date (as stated on the reservation application from the resort) in order to confirm the booking. 5. Failure to pay the deposit on or before the deadline date will result in the reservation being cancelled without any prior notice. 6. All outstanding fees must be paid up before arrival. 7. All changes to the reservation must take place in writing. 8. Debit cards as well as Visa and Master credit cards and electronic transfers will be accepted. 9. Only bank-guaranteed cheques will be accepted. 10. A reservation fee (including VAT @ 14%) is applicable. 11. Special rates are handled on request if available. 12. On arrival and registration a form to indemnify the resort against liability will be handed over for signature. The visitor also undertakes to adhere to the resort's rules by signing a form. 14. All requests in respect of December/January and March/April holidays are placed on a waiting list and allocation will take place in accordance with the point system criteria. 15. No pets are allowed – other than guide dogs. 16. Rates are subject to change without prior notice. 17. All requests for accommodation for December/January and March/April are placed on a waiting list. A cut-off date for requests for these periods will be clearly communicated or indicated. Each request for accommodation is limited to only one (1) unit or site. Consideration of your request will be based on the ATKV’s points system. CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be in writing. 1. Cancellations longer than 30 days before the date of arrival will forfeit 25% of the required deposit. 2. Cancellations between 16 to 29 days of the date of arrival will forfeit 50% of the required deposit. 3. Cancellations between 0 to 15 days of the date of arrival will forfeit 100% of the required deposit. 4. In the event of cancellation as a result of death (or other acceptable reasons beyond the control of the party involved) only an administration fee of R50 will be charged upon submission of substantiating evidence.
Switching reservations to other ATKV resorts
If accommodation is available and a reservation is switched from one ATKV resort to another ATKV resort, 10% of the required deposit will be forfeited with a minimum charge of R50.
